The following historical information about "SoySoap" is supplied by Biobased USA. Until tests have been done in the Midwest, we cannot make any claims in Iowa, Wisconsin or surrounding states until more data is collected. We are only selling the product as an adjuvant, surfactant or cleaner and make no claims beyond its cleaning abilities.

History

SoySoap (the original name of Yield Power) was developed in 2003 by a North Carolina firm called Biobased USA. It's formulated entirely from FDA-approved food ingredients and additives, so it's non-toxic. SoySoap was originally created as a highly effective cleanser for freshly harvested vegetables and fruit.

In 2004, researchers discovered that SoySoap's nano-sized colloids somehow had growth-enhancing effects on plants. SoySoap has since been successfully used on fresh produce, ornamentals and field crops.

After extensive field testing, the governments of China, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines have approved SoySoap for rice. In Vietnam, where SoySoap is privately labelled as NutraGreen, field trials show it increases rice yields an average of 35%.

Biobased USA will collect extensive data from on-farm results in more than 20 U.S. states in 2009. Individual distributors register the product under various private labels in their states. Biobased USA does not retail to the public.

The firm is also cooperating with several universities on SoySoap trials. However, universities normally replicate tests for several years before publishing final results.
